Dawn P. Richardson, JD, MA, is Director, Program Support, Contracts Management at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). In this role, she provides oversight and leadership in all aspects of funding awards from contract preparation through contract closeout. She acts as a thought partner for the programmatic areas at PCORI and works to streamline the contract management process, ensuring consistency and compliance.

Prior to joining PCORI, Richardson was the Senior Director of Grants and Contracts at the Association for State and Territorial Health Officials. While there, she implemented policies, streamlined procedures, and created easy-to-use tools that resulted in increased productivity and funding for the organization. Richardson has vast experience in contracts and grants management that includes working at the National Institutes of Health, Children’s National Medical Center, George Washington University, for-profit companies, state and local agencies, and large non-profits in the District of Columbia and Virginia.  

Richardson earned a BS in business management from the University of Maryland University College. She also received a MA in legal and ethical studies and a JD from the University of Baltimore.
